As per Companies Act 2013, a company can hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) after giving 21 days clear notice to its members/shareholders. However company can hold an AGM or EGM after giving notice of shorter period than 21 days, if at least 95% of the members/shareholders provide their consent to do so. This consent of holding AGM/EGM at shorter notice is required to be given in writing by members/shareholder of the company.
